Mjolnir Gost wrote:Basically what we are "mad" about is that we were not allowed sufficient time to cap our systems, Well then we would be mad that we weren't able to counter cap your capped systems. Yada, yada, yada. In the end it will likely be a "soft" reset. Damar will still live in Intaki, Gallente in Nenna, with at least 20+ systems on each side to get us to baseline Tier LP payouts.
I'm sure your plexing alts will still be able to use their 75k LP/day wisely. |

The Gals screwed them selves by flipping early. The correct mindset would have been to hold off (like the cals are) until 1 day before patch. Flip systems and enter the patch in a favorable position , just like what happened when inferno hit the first time.
Thank you for the strategy lesson Don Bolsterbomb. The Federation Militia is run by a bunch of idiots who happen to control the center of the map. Thankfully CCP chatgris "bailed" us out again. |

Dread Pirate Pete wrote:If CCP reset you would all be tinfoilhatting about how CCP favouring whoever had less systems and crying about how all your work to take said systems had been shat on by ebul Hans/Mittani/Icelandic house elves Reset was not the answer. On the Caldari side Damar, Amarrian Retribution, Bad Messenger and IGB would be in tears over getting kicked out of their low sec homes. And the majority of the Gallente corporations occupying Black Rise would be pissed too. |

Fozzie said 33% over. Still, it's not like we were doing 75k LP/day like the Caldari. Only 5k/day. They still have the advantage. |

In any case, I hope CCP is open to reducing LP for defensive plexing. It is too easy for the effort.. |

Crosi Wesdo wrote:I agree, however, the lp for defensive plexing reduces as the contested rate lowers. So it might be self managing. The self-managing situation may lead to severe boredom when people decide that attacking isn't worth it because they won't be able to win - especially with massive number of plexes needed to flip a system nowadays.
The guiding principle: Pay should go to those who create content. Content is created through attack.
Minor lp rewards for defensive plexing are ok, but these rewards (coupled with Tier payouts) are at "farming levels". Hopefully CCP fixes it. The risk is that people will give up on attacking systems for the same reason that they gave up on defending - the alts are too numerous and will destroy their hard work too quickly during "off hours".
"Kill all rats" was a good enough solution, IMO. There are already plenty of players who are willing to defend with no pay if they think they have a chance at winning (which they didn't when afk plexing alts ruled the day 4 days ago).
Anyways, this is a better situation than before - a few more adjustments may be necessary (lower defensive payouts, lower number of plexes needed to flip system). |

As tier level increases, the incentive to afk defensive plex increases - creating a stagnant front.
Alt defensive plexer payout example: 10k minor * Contested Level * Tier Level. At Tier 3, 10k lp is gained for each minor at 57% contested.
Conclusion: Expect systems to be brought down to less than 50% by afk defensive plexing alts at Tier 3. |
